INTRODUCTION:

OVER THE DECADES, VERSATILE HAS ENDEAVOURED TO LOOK AT PEOPLE NOT FOR WHAT THEY CAN’T DO, BUT WHAT THEY CAN DO. WE HAVE EMPLOYED PEOPLE WHO WERE PARTIALLY BLIND, TO THOSE WHO ARE HEARING IMPAIRED AND COMMUNICATION WAS DONE BY THE USE OF A WHITE BOARD AND MARKER. OTHER EMPLOYEES INCLUDE A WOMAN WHO WAS PERMANENTLY SCARED WHILE IN VIETNAM TO OTHERS WHO HAVE HEARING AND SPEECH IMPEDIMENTS. TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY, WE STRIVE TO MEET OR EXCEED THE ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS AND TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

FROM THE INTRODUCTION, YOU CAN SEE VERSATILE IS PREPARED TO EMPLOY AND HANDLE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THERE IS TOTAL ACCESS TO THE MANUFACTURING AREA. HOWEVER, WITH OUR “ISO” AND A.S. 9100 REGISTRATION, THERE ARE CERTAIN AREAS THAT ARE “OFF LIMITS” AND THE AREAS ARE RESTRICTED TO THOSE WHO ARE INVOLVED IN THE MILITARY AND AEROSPACE PRODUCTION. OUR HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE HAS A COPY OF THIS ACT CAN HANDLE VARIOUS SITUATIONS AS THEY MIGHT OCCUR.

THOSE WITH DISABILITIES WOULD BE INTRODUCED TO OUR HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER. EACH CASE/SITUATION WOULD BE DISCUSSED AND HANDLED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF THE PERSON. ALL SITUATIONS ARE HANDLED WITH RESPECT, CARE AND DIGNITY.

SHOULD A VISITOR VISIT OUR FACILITY, THE USE OF A SERVICE ANIMAL IS ALLOWED. HOWEVER, FOR HYGIENE REASONS, SOME OF THE MANUFACTURING (PAINT) AREAS ARE “OFF LIMITS”.

NOTE: VISITORS WITH SERVICE ANIMALS MUST FIRST CONTACT VERSATILE PRIOR TO THEIR VISIT SO THE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO ACCOMMODATE THE VISITOR. EMPLOYEES MUST KNOW IF A SERVICE ANIMAL IS IN THE BUILDING AS SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES TO ANIMALS.
